Monday April 23- Day 11

Thank you so much to so many of you who are praying for our family. Emma woke up feeling much better and her fever was gone! That was a quick turn around from 103* the day before. We feel your prayers on our behalf, and your comments are so encouraging. We decided that the zoo trip was a bit too intense, so we chose a  more leisurely day on Shamian Island. The island is quiet and beautiful, and the shopping was great. Tomorrow we have to rise very early for our Visa appointment and Oath Taking Ceremony at the US Consulate. We are getting really close to coming home!

“It may take place in a foreign land or it may take place in your backyard, but I believe that we were each created to change the world for someone. To serve someone. To love someone the way Christ first loved us, to spread His light. This is the dream, and it is possible.”

  5. Why did it never occur to me that you would get a "comment" if I posted it!?!?!? Oh, well, now you just have it confirmed that I'm not your smartest friend! LOL! We have SO ENJOYED following your journey through China. I look forward every afternoon to an update and you haven't disappointed yet! Ivy is a beautiful little girl and so expressive. The pictures are precious. I thank God for Emma's speedy recovery and praise God for your safe travels and apparently great times (despite the traffic!). Love you guys. Looking forward with you to the process being complete. Much love to all!

  8. YAY for Emma!! We were praying and are so glad to hear she's better.

These pictures are just amazing. I think they're the best so far. I am completely in love with the one where Mr Coccimiglio is holding her up in the air!! She seems to be blending in beautifully.

God is SO good!!! See you soon!!

  10. We've been following your posts and pictures along this amazing journey God has taken you on and we're extremely joyful for your family. What a blessing that adoption is to parents such as yourselves, willing to live out your love for Christ through such a clear picture of the Gospel. We love you all and continue to rejoice with you. Blessings in the Lord, the Moorheads

  11. It has been so fun for all of us to follow your journey to China through your blog. It has been a highlight of our day! :) What an amazing journey of God's love and faithfulness, not only to your family but to little Ivy as well. The pictures have told a beautiful story of God's redemption through adoption where words could not adequately express the emotions. We are so happy for you all! Thank you for your love and obedience to the Lord! Love in Christ, The Heusmans
